A verified starting point#
Customers sign in to your Shopify customer accounts and choose an eligible purchase in Sell Items. The item must belong to them and meet your program’s eligibility rules. Encored reserves the individual purchased unit so it cannot be listed twice at the same time.
Listing and approval#
The seller describes the condition, uploads current photos, selects an asking price and confirms their shipping address. They accept your listing terms and submit. Your team reviews the submission before it can be published.
Selling through your store#
An approved listing is published as a Shopify product with inventory of one. Your catalogue imagery introduces the product; seller photos show its current condition separately. Buyers check out through your store. When sold, the listing product is archived so that unique item cannot be purchased again.
Shipping and inspection#
The seller downloads a shipping label in Sold Items, dispatches the item and marks it sent. Delivery opens the inspection window. A buyer can accept the item or report a problem. Open disputes hold the seller’s store credit until resolved.
Completing the loop#
After buyer acceptance or the inspection deadline with no unresolved problem, eligible seller credit is issued through Shopify. The seller can spend it with your store. Encored does not offer cash payouts.
A customer who later resells a Pre-Loved purchase can begin another verified listing, subject to your current rules. Item history lets staff follow that chain.
